Shannon Campion
Executive Director
Shannon has two decades of experience as a nonprofit leader in education equity, where she spearheaded high-impact state and local advocacy campaigns that delivered measurable results for students. As President at Stand for Children, she oversaw a $44 million operating budget across 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities, while leading state affiliates to achieve significant policy and electoral victories, as well as fundraising success.
Shannon was a Board Member of The Humane League (THL) from 2020 to 2024, serving as Chair for 3 years. She was also on the Board of Madre Brava from 2023 to 2024.
Elliot Teperman
Director of Partnerships
Elliot supports the team with meta-fundraising, member programming, and philanthropic advising as required. Previously, Elliot worked in London as the Programs and Grants Manager at the Jeremy Coller Foundation (focused on ending factory farming), and before that, he researched the moral psychology of meat consumption and speciesism at Oxford and Melbourne University.
Itsi Weinstock
San Francisco Lead
Itsi leads Senterra's donor engagement in the San Francisco Bay Area. He works with emerging high-net-worth individuals in the tech and AI sectors to direct major funding to high-impact and scalable farmed animal welfare initiatives. Previously, Itsi worked on machine learning research in the alternative proteins industry, including as Head of Data Science at Climax Foods and consulting with Food System Innovations. He holds a Master's in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Melbourne.
Kelcey Meadows-Lucas
Donor Advisor
Kelcey has over two decades of experience helping philanthropists achieve their goals and find their ideal roles in the mission to end industrial animal agriculture, and she is excited to continue this work at Senterra Funders. Most recently, she worked in major, planned, and principal gift fundraising at Humane World for Animals and Mercy For Animals.
Kelcey has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals since 2003, is a Certified Fundraising Executive since 2020 and serves as an advisor on the Nature Defense Foundation since 2023. She shares her home in Northern California with her husband and son and rescued dog.

Megan Nelson
Operations and
Community Manager
Megan is responsible for ensuring efficient internal operations and supporting impactful, high-quality programming and events. She joined the team after an eleven-year career as a social worker, primarily in New York City, where she oversaw a city-funded program supporting family caregivers.
Vanessa Johansson
European Philanthropy Lead
Vanessa leads Senterra Funders’ philanthropic outreach and engagement across the UK and Europe, working to expand funding for farmed animal welfare initiatives. She brings with her experience in the nonprofit sector, having worked at Advocates for Animals and The Animal Law Foundation, as well as co-founding the Solberga Foundation, focused on meaningful change for animal and environmental initiatives. Passionate about donor engagement, she connects funders with high-impact opportunities to drive effective progress for farmed animals.
Vicky Cox
Grant Evaluation Researcher
Vicky assists the team with evaluating grant opportunities and follow-up with grantees for outcome reporting.
Her extensive research background includes leading Ambitious Impact (AIM)’s animal welfare research that supported the incubation of more than 10 new animal charities, including Shrimp Welfare Project, Animal Policy International, and Scale Welfare. She has also trained new researchers through AIM's Research Program, and developed Suffering Adjusted Days, a metric for measuring animal suffering that other animal advocacy organizations and grantmakers have since adopted.
Her research and advisory work at AIM has also left her well-networked across the movement, providing an additional layer of understanding of its current dynamics and challenges that cannot be accessed via desk research alone.
